Description
A Pewter Passover Plate, Eastern Europe, 1753
Details The circular plate engraved with decoration of foliage, bird and a crown. With an original inscription in Hebrew on the wide rim: “Kadesh - Ur'Chatz - Karpas - Yachatz - Maggid - Rochtzo - Motzi – Matzo – Marror - Korech - Shulchan Aruch”. Carries a family initials ES and dated 1753 (see close-up 2).
