Biography
Yaacov Agam (Gibstein), Painter and Sculptor. b. 1928 Rishon Le Zion, Israel. Studies: Bezalel, Jerusalem; Paris. Prize: 1972 Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art, Israel Museum, Jerusalem; 1996 UNESCO Prize for Education (for his work for visual art education for the young). Environmental Sculptures: 1985 "Roots", Menorah in Bernard Garden, Tel Aviv; 1986 "Fire and Water", Dizengoff Square, Tel Aviv. Works mainly in Paris.
