Description:
The backplate with repoussé work, embossing, hammered and engraved centered by
a detachable plaque with the inscription “Shabbat”, flanked by two
Stars of David surrounded by floral motifs, flanked in turn by rectangular
blind and round fluted columns in Empire Style, and topped with two heraldic
lions flaking a Decalogue, crowned with a wing-spread eagle. The backplate
ending with two ornate handles fitted with original hanging bells and a
detachable servant light on the right. Fronted by a row of oil pans and set on
four stylized supports. Fully marked, maker’s mark T.
