Biography
Esther Carp (1910 – 1970), Polish Painter. Born to a Jewish family in Poland, left home at an early age and moved to Vienna and later settled in Paris. She was hospitalized in a mental institution from 1964 until her death. Once hospitalized, she stopped painting in oil, and only made pen drawings since then. Some of her paintings are very personal and express the deep emotional distress of the painter. She died in a hospital in Paris in 1970.
