Description: Cast, chased and
engraved. Each topped with floral motif capital terminating with a bird; a
similar small applied decoration above one of the oil pans. The backplate
decorated with geometric motifs and the square oil pans with floral motifs.

Condition: Consistent
with age.

The “Kandil”, a
memorial oil lamp for women, was kept in the home for the first year after the
deceased had passed away and used on the Sabbath and holiday, after which it
was given to the Synagogue.
