Lot 23171:
The balustrade backplate with pattern of openwork wheels and triangles, with trefoir borders. Narrow tower side panels with elongated arched windows. Fronted by a row of eight oil fonts. A figure stands on right panel ledge, holding the servant light.
The lamp is in the Dinanderie style, with Gothic and Renaissance motifs. The six-spoked wheel was the emblem of Mainz and Speyer.
