The front cover pierced, chased and hammered with rocaille and centered by a cartouche depicting Jesus and the Samaritan woman beneath a smooth, silver ground. The back cover, similarly designed, and centered by a cartouche depicting Jesus blessing Marry Magdalene and the spine decorated with a depiction of Marry Magdalene. With a gilt textblock, also decorated with a pressed pattern and clasp decorated with flowers. The book endpapers and loose papers lined with leather and inlayed with delicate gold, filigree work.
