The clock with a round face ornately decorated with scrolls in relief and with large, enamel painted, Roman numerals. Housed in a curved case with a hinged, glass door and glass sides and fronted by a sculptural depiction of a female figure. The case decorated throughout with tortoise-lining featuring gilt marketer work of scrolling flowers and ormolu. Mounted on four scroll shaped bronze supports and topped by a sculptural, spelter putty. The clock includes a similarly decorated console. Mechanism signed "Le Fubure, Paris".
