The clock with a round face ornately decorated with putties among a sunburst in relief and with large, enamel painted, Roman numerals. Housed in an hourglass wood case with a glass door ornamented with ormolu in a wreath design. The entire case lined with tortoiseshell veneer inlaid with a floral pattern on the front and clusters of flowers and scrolls on the sides. Set on a rectangular base, fronted by a large sculptural depiction of an angel figure and raised on four, scroll shaped supports. Topped by a sculpted cupid. Mechanism signed Antoine Gaudron.
