Mina Sisselman (1919-), Painter. Born in Neveh Tzedek, Israel in 1919. Studies: Gymnasia Herzlia, Tel Aviv. Painting with Paldi; with Haim Gliksberg, Frenkel and Castel; 1947-54 Boston Museum Art School, U.S.A.; Ozenfant’s School, New York. Teaching: 1964-8, Avni Institute, Tel Aviv. Prizes: 1958 Dizengoff Prize; 1964 Histadrut Prize; 1971 First Prize for Design of Memorial Site for the Egoz Force, Golan Heights; 1979 Prize for Design of Memorial for the Sons of Ashdod; 1992 Minister of Education and Culture Prize for Completion of Work. 1954 Lived in Kibbutz Einat. Since 1954 worked in her studio at Neve Tzedek. 1955-7 Wrote art reviews for papers, “Davar”, “Al Hamishmar”, etc. Works located in public Places: Community Center, Kiriat Yam; Wingate Institute; Sapir Centre, Kfar Saba; Religious School, Yavne; Kindergarten, Beersheva; Community Center, Arad; Phosphates Plant, Nahal Zin.
