Zygmunt Schreter (1896-1977) French painter, Ecole de Paris. b. 1898 Lodz, Poland. Studied painting at the Art Academies in Berlin and Paris. From 1934 he lived and worked in Paris. Participated in many exhibitions, including the Salon d'Automne in Paris, at the Palais dex Beaux Arts in Brussels, and other shows in the Netherlands, the USA and Poland. Held solo shows in Paris and London in the 195's. In Israel, his work was exhibited in the Bezalel Museum, Beersheba Museum and the Museum of Art in Ein Harod. Also published two illustrated albums, one about the Negev. Died 1976, Paris.
