biography

Daniel Baharier (1956-) Born in England in 1956, immigrated to Israel in 198. His works involves sculpture, installation and non-traditional art methods. Studies: Betzalel Academy of Art – Jerusalem John Cass; Leicester Polytechnic (Simon de Montfort University); Hertfordshire College of Art and Design (with John W Mills & Michael Gillespie). Teaching: Meimad School of Art, Tel Aviv, 1986-87, sculpture; The Old City of Jaffa Art College, since 199, sculpture and bronze casting techniques. 2-22, served as head of the Fine Art Department at The Computer Art College– Tel Aviv. Commissions: Wingate Institute Sculpture Garden: 21 two to four meter high bronze figures; Torah Crown, bronze for Torah Ark in Synagogue – New York – 23; Bomer Dance Competition – Bronze statuette First Prize – May 22; Taito Corp.
