Avner Bar Hama (1946-), Sculptor and Painter. Born in Ujada, Morocco, in 1946, named Serge Banemo. Immigrated to Israel in 1956. Studies: 1966-72 High School for Art, Tel Aviv; 1968-197 Art Teachers College, Ramat Hasharon. Teaching: High School for Art, Tel Aviv, 1976 appointed Pedagogic Director; Guidance of Teachers for Ministry of Education; Director of Art Centre, Kiriat Gat; from 1981 Director of Art Faculty, Talpiot College, Tel Aviv. Prizes: 1984 First Prize at exhibition, “Israeli Artists Paint the Bible”; 1985 Second Prize in Housing Ministry Competition for Sculpture at Migdal Haemek; 2 Exhibition Prize, Painting and Sculpture Association, Tel Aviv. Sculptures located in public places include: 198 Community Center, Brussels, wall painting, 1994 Two sculptures at Jerusalem Mall, Malha; 1998 Memorial to Soldiers of Kiriat Gat.
