Larry Abramson (1954-), Painter. Born in South Africa in 1954. Immigrated to Israel in 1961. Studies: 1973-74 Chelsea School of Art, London. Teaching: From 1984 Bezalel, Jerusalem, from 1982 head of the art department. 2: Guest lecturer, San Francisco Art Institute. Prizes: 1979 Beatrice Kolliner Prize for a Young Israeli Artist, Israel Museum, Jerusalem; 1988 America-Israel Cultural Foundation; 1991 Zak Ohana Prize, Tel Aviv Museum.1993 Sharet Award for Culture and Art; 1998 Minister of Culture and Education Prize.
